Additional information I personally tested the installation and functionality on a clean freshly installed Windows 10 x64 1909 with all updates up to December 12 2019. I wrote detailed, step by step instructions for the setup verifying each step and its effects. Note that it must be installed on a clean system, as leftover traces from previous Edius installations might cause issues.
After installing this version, you can also install Edius 7.53 and Edius 6.55. All three versions work well together on the same system. This version has also been successfully tested on Windows 7 x64 for several months without activation issues.
I have not Tested it on Windows 8/8.1 but it will likely work fine.

- Turn off the Internet
- Install Edius 8
- Add (MANDATORY!!!) two rules to the Windows firewall (or equivalent) to block Internet access for Edius.exe and Appmaintainer.exe to prevent activation failure.
- Set the date on your computer to December 1, 2017
- Stop GV License Manager from the system tray, right-click, and select Exit
- Run GVActivation Patch.exe from the Crack folder as administrator, paste the Serial from Serial.txt, and click Activate
- Copy RunAsDate.exe to the Edius 8 folder, run it (not as administrator), set Application to run as Edius.exe, date to December 1, 2017, check “Move the time…” and “Immediate mode” boxes, and create a desktop shortcut.
- Use the desktop shortcut to launch Edius.
- Click Run, acknowledge the licensing message, and close the serial number window.
- Close RunAsDate.
- In GV License Manager tray, go to License List, find the red invalid license, right-click, select Offline Repair, and point to the Response.key file in the Crack folder.
- The license should turn white and become valid.
- Turn on the Internet and reset the date back.
