Description
Live2D is the world’s first drawing technology that enables 3D rendering of 2D images. This technology supports many handheld consoles and smartphones and Live2D is already being used for games that take advantage of the unique characteristics of hand drawn graphics.
The Cubism 4 editor contains new Video features that allow users to achieve the expressiveness of hand-drawn animation. These Features include the ability to edit models directly from the timeline, such as “Shapes Animation,” “Onion Skin,” “Frame Step,” and “Image Sequence Track.” Additionally, the “ArtPath” feature allows users to create lines in the editor providing more freedom to express illustrations.
The new Cubism 4 SDK allows users to take advantage of the new “Extension Interpolation” feature. This Feature enables not only linear interpolation between key shapes but also curve interpolation allowing for more natural movement without Texture compression. The SDK also allows the use of an “inverted mask” with a clipping mask enabling “cut” expressions in real time applications. Cubism 4 SDK supports Unity Web Android iOS and other platforms for various game development projects from smartphone apps to console games.
